Myself
I am a software engineer, currently enjoying a long hiatus from work. I live in San Jose, California
with my wife and sons.
San Jose is a very special city, with many wonderful locations to visit. Most especially I like the
beautiful scenery you can find here, as in any other location throughout the State, along with its
gorgeous weather most of the time.
Our house is located on the north-east end of the city, on the border with Milpitas close to the
hills and public parks. The mountains, at this time of the year (May), are green and beautiful. The parks
are always very pleasant to visit. One of our favorite parks is Alum Rock Park, located very close to
our house. Sometimes on week ends we go for long hikes along the trails of the park. I am showing on
this page some the pictures of our neighborhood.
Recently I went on a trip to Mexico. The experience has been truly wonderful. I have seen a part of
Mexico that I had not seen before: the small towns located away from the tourist traffic. I have been
particularly impressed about the people I have encountered along the way. I am showing some of those
pictures in the section Photo Gallery.
During my engineering career I have been fascinated by the technology that goes along with doing
engineering. I had the fortune to work in Silicon Valley during the initial days following the
invention of the microprocessor. With the recently created technology, it became apparent that people
could put the power of a computer on a PC board to do complex tasks. It also became apparent that unless
you program those PC boards they are quite un-intelligent by themselves. I entered the field of Software
Engineering at a company that produced Video Games and personal computers. As an Engineer you work on the
tasks that the company requires you to. Outside from work sometimes you would like to attempt other types
of projects that would be fun to do but can't at the time because of time limitations. Now that I no
longer work I have the freedom to devote my activities to projects of my own such as developing special
computer programs. I have created the game "Tikal" which is another form of the game most popularly known
as "Othello". You can find a copy of such game in the section Software.
A few months ago I started writing an electronic journal, a "Web Log" or a "Blog". You can read some
of my impressions as I travel through theses years of my life in my Blog.
With time I would like to enhance these pages to include other areas of my interest. When I became
un-employed, among the activities that I undertook were to experiment with oil painting on canvass.
The experience has been enjoyable and comforting. I hope that in the not too distant future to place
in these pages pictures of some of my work.
Thank you for visiting my website, and please came back again.
